Art | Before Castro, there were many US corporations that grew and harvested sugarcane in Cuba. Cuban cane products (sugar, rum, etc.) were exported worldwide. Sugarcane is an ideal source for ethanol. Cuba does not have much internal demand for ethanol; therefore, the majority of ethanol produced in Cuba could be exported. In conjunction with oil exploration in the Gulf of Mexico, ethanol production in Cuba could mean true Cuban energy independence. We will have a dedicated website to Cuban Cane products, esp. ethanol when production ramps up under Raul Castro. The domain will be www.cubaethanol.com Please contact Havana Bay Company for more information. |
